Welcome to the Busy Bees
-
Our unit comprises of children around two years of age to around three years of age. Our unit takes up the entire top floor of the main building; this gives us lots of space to explore the environment around us.
In Busy Bees we are learning a sense of independence, this ranges from putting our coats and shoes on to choosing which activity to take part in.
During the morning we move around in small groups with our children’s key person and together they decide what they want to do with their friends.
This could be anything, from painting, car washing, games and puzzles to even snuggling up with a favourite book.

A Day in Busy Bees
In Busys’ we encourage the children to prepare their own snack and take part in dishing it up to their friends. During lunch and dinner times the staff sit down and eat dinner together thus creating a family dining experience as well as role modelling the skills children need.
We generally nap/sleep between 12 and 2 where we nod off to lullabies and cuddles. Don’t worry if they do not sleep, as there is a range of fun activities set up in our big room. Busy Bees are an outdoor loving group with both the options of the large garden and a spacious roof terrace which has its very own boat sand pit.
The object of the afternoon is free flow play, this is where the whole unit is open and the children can move freely through the rooms picking what they would like to get up to and the staff interact from the children’s lead.
Our staff are highly motivated, well qualified and absolutely love children.
